Tonight’s the night

After several weeks of pretty deep relationship songs, I thought it was time to lighten up the mood. In a way this is a song about a relationship as well, but a very different relationship. It is the relation ship I participate several times a week. It is the relation ship of the artist and the audience during a live music show. This relationship is very important to me. It goes through all the same things than any other relationship, but it all happens in a much more compressed timeframe.

I sing songs to a room full of strangers, but if all goes well, at the end of the night we have shared something special. This relationship is definitely one of the reasons why I do what I do and have done for nearly twenty years by now. It is the reason why I love my job.
