Quick tip 264 Surround yourself with talent

Yesterday I got to play a session with some very talented musicians. You know the kind of musicians who make you want to put down your instrument and just listen. Just even thinking about it I’m still buzzing 🙂 I pushed my self harder than I have in a  while, and I am pretty good at pushing my self.

This got me thinking, you should try to surround yourself with musicians better than yourself. Playing with musicians who constantly challenge you is the best way to develop your own skills as a musician. Being the best in your group of musicians might be good for the ego, but to become better musician, you need to put down your ego.
