I think very few people getting in the music business actually have a realistic idea what is ahead of them. We can thank the media and the major labels for feeding us an illusion where we think all we need to do is record a song, make a video, post it on YouTube and become an overnight success. Often many musicians waste the first few years of their career trying to figure out why this is not happening.

The reality is, and yes I did talk about this in the past, it will take time! If money is what you’re after, there are much quicker and easier ways to do it. To succeed as an artist, the art must come first. But you also need to understand the business, and all of this will take time. So stick to reality and learn to enjoy the ride.
