Quick tip 224 You need to spend money promoting your album

Planning to record an album? I hope you are planning a budget for it as well. Studio time is expensive, and if you decide to record it at home, you probably will need some mew equipment to do it as well. And then there is the cover art work, physical copies (never mind what anybody tells you, they still sell, especially at live shows.)

But what about the promotion? Did you leave any money for that in your budget? You should spend as much on the promotion as you do on the recording. You see, if you build it, they will not come, unless you tell them about it first. That is where the promotion comes in. This is the biggest mistake most artists make. Don’t be one of those artists.
