This one has bitten me in the ass, it has landed me in the s*%t creek more times than I care to remember. But still, thousand times more it has rewarded me in ways I could have never imagined. Trust people.

Don’t be naive, don’t walk into a trap, but with a bit of common sense you will figure out who are worth your trust. Sure thing music business is full of sharks trying to catch you, but those business types are easy to spot. Trust your fellow musicians, give them the benefit of doubt, before you judge them. By trusting people, you will see more doors open for you, you will make more friends, you will live life.

And most of all, you build trust by trusting others. It is well worth the risk, but also the fastest way to expose the people who are not trustworthy. Most people are.
