Too often I see musicians believing they are financially worth more than anyone is willing to pay for. Before you start thinking too much of your self, get some experience under your belt. And I mean some serious experience! Go out and play 100 shows, and see what that does to your skills. Then ask your self, how much would you have paid for your own show number 15? You might feel like you’re on top of the world right now in your career, but more than likely you are not…
There is nothing in this world of ours that replace experience. Nothing builds your street cred like having been there and done it several times. So get out there, get your hands dirty and do the hard craft, before you start expecting people’s respect. It is up to your listener to decide when you earn their respect, not for you to demand it.
