This song is about not being scared of the unknown, of the future. This song is about appreciating what we have right now. It is about honesty, about being honest with yourself. It is about hope, the unexpected nature of one year coming to an end and another one starting. It is about evaluating what truly is important to us. And most of all it is about love. Not the kind of “in heat of the moment” teenage romance love, but the kind that can weather the years. When you look at someone after a decade and realise you love them more now than you did int he beginning, when it was all fresh.
You see, romantic stories of boy meats a girl and they fall in love, they don’t get me exited. What gets me exited is the relationships, where people are not together because a commitment made long time ago, but because they are in love truly and unconditionally. This is not the kind of love you search, but the kind that finds you.
This is a song that should give all of us hope.
This song is also the song number 52 of 2015, which means I have written, recorded and released 104 songs in 104 weeks. That is a song for every week for two years! I must admit that it is hard to take in. One thing I am sure of though, I could not have done this without you guys. Having you along the journey has made it all worth my time and effort. From the bottom of my heart thank you very much! There is no stopping me now.
And as usual, grab a download copy of this weeks song from my Bandcamp page HERE. And feel free to share the song and this blog post with the world. Here’s to new year.
