Was Johnny Cash after all the most romantic man?

On Valentine’s day we all think about Love, wether we like it or not, as it is rammed on our face by the media and the shops. A lot of money to be made out of other peoples love 😉

I thought I’ll keep this simple. This is a love letter from no other than Johnny Cash to June Carter on her birthday. It is that love that lasts the test of time, that I find most “romantic” and no amounts of chocolate, jewellery and roses can replace that.

We get old and get use to each other. We think alike. We read each others minds. We know what the other wants without asking. Sometimes we irritate each other a little bit. Maybe sometimes take each other for granted.

But once in awhile, like today, I meditate on it and realize how lucky I am to share my life with the greatest woman I ever met. You still fascinate and inspire me. You influence me for the better. You’re the object of my desire, the #1 Earthly reason for my existence. I love you very much.
