Dog House

This week’s song “Dog House” is one for the lads. Lets face it, we all feel bit misunderstood from time to time 😀 But there is no denying the fact we can be difficult creatures with small pleasures in mind. And women are much more complex creatures. The lack of communication usually brings even the best of relationships into blows from time to time.

Here’s one for the ladies, men are useless at communicating. Especially when it comes to their needs. Women feel the need to point out our mistakes, and I know most of the time it is with the best intentions. You want to help us “grow”. Unfortunately most of us take this as we can do nothing right, no matter ho hard we try. This takes a toll on us. Don’t take my word for it, read an article by Harriet Lerner, Ph.D, published in the Psychologytoday HERE. She points out that no one can survive a relationship if they are more criticised than admired. I would like you to think that for a while…

Now I am not letting the guys off the hook here either. We can be trouble, a lot of trouble. And we can be oblivious to things that are clear to our partners. So just try to be more considered. Try to see things from their perspective.

This is all easy advice to write down, but when you are in the middle of it, it is hard to recognise. I have been there and I am sure I will end up there again. But when the women throws a man in to the “dog house”, my guess nine out of ten times the man will rebel…

So there you go. This song was one of the acoustic tracks where I thought to expand on them, but the original version just stood out so strongly on its own. Hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it 🙂
