Tomorrow morning I’ll be heading out for twelve days for some serious unwinding ๐ As a result, obviously I had loads of work to be done before I run away from everything. So to sum up my week, I have been spending the mornings and the afternoons recording, evenings playing sessions and shows, and nights writing blog posts ๐ So yeah, a busy week! Also yesterday I did an interview for a new music business podcast called Break The Business. I was stoked to be asked and had a blast doing it. I’ll post it on my blog as well when it comes out ๐

The blog was busy once again this week. There were few posts that came from the after math of last weeks horrendous news and the images of little three-year old Aylanโs body being washed up on the shore in Turkey. You guys have been great sharing the message, and please keep doing so. Check it out here:
Monday I locked my self in my small home studio. It was a productive day, but at the end of the day time was running low before I had to be back in The Porterhouse for another Session. So instead of getting into a rushed blog post, I decided to just tell you guys exactly what was going on. But I also shared some music I’ve been in to a lot in the past few months ๐

This one was not really a “real” blog post, more of a Quick question I had about a vocal take. Your answers were valuable and really helped me with this weeks song “Love Is What We Need” But I decided to include it here anyway, as it was part of what went on during this week ๐
Here’s a quick reminder how the world around us is filled with inspiration. Sometimes all we need to do is open our eyes:
This particular blog post takes a look at how the music business is still changing. I feel quite strongly about the subject, so do me a favour and read it through:
Be fearless! Wednesdays Quick tip works almost as a short motivational speech for any artist:
I talked about the power of a story in the past, but this week I took a detailed look into how you should include your audience in your story. This is powerful stuff:
Lets try to change the way artists are treated in the new music business. Read more here:
As mentioned in my lessons of the week, here is why you should take some time to stop:
There is a resent study conducted in Australia by the Vitoria University that highlighted a shocking rate of mental health problems amongst the entertainment industry. Here are some of my thoughts on the subject:
So that concludes another week. Next week this time I’ll be possibly writing this post beside a pool, in a sunshine from the beautiful island of Ischia ๐ I’ll be including travel related writing during the week, as well as my usual music business rants. So stay tuned, and have a great week.
