So the week just gone was a busy one, but that’s the way I like it ๐ It was during this week that I realised I have two days off this month and one of them was this week, and what did I do? Spent the day writing blog posts. But I learned long time ago that even though I can force my self to be productive, when the creative juices flow, you work twice as hard. January has traditionally been “the forced diet month” for musicians and to have as much work as I do right now, I feel blessed.
So let’s have a look what’s got posted on my blog this week, this is going to be a long one, so you might want to get a cup of coffee to go with it ๐
This week’s song is once again dealing with a tough subject. Read all about it here:
On Monday I had a look at the past years most popular blog posts. Some interesting surprise there:
Also on Monday I started a new “Quick tips” category on my blog. The idea is to give musicians and artists instantly useable tips. Here’s the first one:
What would you do with two extra hours in your week? Check out my thoughts here:
Tuesday’s quick tip was something every artist can do to improve their twitter profile:
I was asked some advice on how to play a great Robert Earl Keen song “Corpus Christi Bay. The result ended up being more of a cover version of it ๐ Check it out here:
Wednesday’s Quick tip was my suggestion on how to control your pre show nerves:
Thursday I was in a bit of a rant mood, brace your self for this one :
Take responsibility of your own career
Thursday’s Quick tip explains how to not only deal with rejection in music business, but completely remove it:
Friday’s Quick tip is an important one for any artist. It points out why you should have an Email list and how to set up one:
And to cap off the week Saturday’s post looks in to how I feel some of the new country music is forgetting the importance of songwriting:
That’s the week. I think it is safe to say we started the year with a bang ๐ Hope you enjoyed it and I always like hearing your views on the posts. Especially I’d like to hear your thoughts on the “Quick tips” posts. Did you enjoy them? Do you think it is a good idea or just waste of time?
